Imagine over 25 wineries, craft breweries and distilleries opening their doors and inviting you to explore taste and enjoy the Heathcote region. Sounds good right?
This King’s Birthday long weekend, get ready to discover your new favourite wine festival!
Saturday morning
Head straight to the Heathcote Visitors Information centre and jump on a Blue Wren Shuttle with your pre-booked ticket. At $50 per ticket with three routes to choose from, each covering six venues, it’s a great low-cost way of getting out and exploring the region.
Routes one and two will get you to Munari Wines where you can elevate your Heathcote on Show experience with a tethered hot air balloon ride over the vineyard. For $25 you’ll float over the vines with a bird-eye view of all the action.
Saturday lunch
The hardest part of Heathcote on Show is deciding where to eat. With the majority of our 25+ venues providing food options, you’re spoilt for choice.
Want a sit-down dining experience? Try Silverspoon Estate’s seasonal menu or build your own charcuterie board at Heathcote Winery. Love an artisan pizza? Head to Condie Estate, Sanguine Estate, Shiraz Republic or Tellurian Estate.
If food trucks are your jam then visit Envy Distilling, Heathcote Wine Hub or Munari Wines. Something off the BBQ? You’ll want Mia Valley Estate, Red Edge or Young Estate.
And for something completely different try Three Dams for excellent Spanish and Wren Estate for handmade Chinese dumplings.
Saturday afternoon
It’s time to settle in, grab a bottle of your favorite wine and enjoy some live music at one of the many venues bringing the tunes. Keep an eye out on our socials for our Live Music Guide which will be up closer to the date.
Saturday night
Finish the day strong with an exclusive Tellurian Wines Barrel Room Dinner experience. Join owner Ian Hopkins and celebrated Bendigo restaurant Ms Batterhams as they guide you through a three-course dinner matched with Tellurian wines.
Sunday morning
Today is a new day! Take a wander along Victoria’s longest country main street making sure you visit Heathcote Artists Inc’s 20th Anniversary Art Show in the RSL Hall. Celebrating 20 years of Heathcote Artists Inc's commitment to fostering creativity, supporting local artists, and enriching the cultural life of the Heathcote region.
Bask in the Art. Vote for the People’s Choice Award or take home a piece of art unique to Heathcote.
Sunday afternoon
Take advantage of the many pop-up cellar doors situated in the main street - in fact there are ten venues you’ll be able to reach on foot! A good portion of these producers are not usually open to the public so chances are you’ll discover something new.
Sunday night
After another fantastic day of wine, food and fun it’s time to rest your weary head at Heathcote Retreat, also in the main street. Choose from The House, perfect for families and groups, luxury fully self-contained units or standard, modern styled motel rooms.
